In November 2015 Hollywood Collectibles Group just in time for Black Friday began selling their 1:4 Peter Venkman. (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, November 27, 2015) Less than two full years later Hollywood Collectibles Group has 1:4 Ray Stantz ready for pre-order to take up ghostheads…
Beetlejuice has been one of those higher class ghosts that have been a thorn in our Belt Gizmos since the early 1990s. For the longest time that ghost who talks a lot had been oddly silent, going off the protection grid. Recently Beetle…resurfaced in Great Britain.
Ghostbusters International has had an Ectomobile workshop manual for the last few decades. It has been brought to our attention since the jingle of the year 2000 we should make our expertise available to franchises and car enthusiasts. Like a great peace talk debate, (over delicious sponsored food and beverages) how we were going to accomplish this was up on a lift for years. At least since our 30th anniversary the solution was already in our libraries.
Instead of updating GBI, Richard spent 5 days reviewing Ghostbusters: Answer The Call!
This past weekend I began reviewing the theatrical version of Ghostbusters: Answer The Call. I realized without much planning for this one review, I couldn’t review a nearly 2 hour movie in a day, not even two. I’ve been watching Ghostbusters: Answer The Call on and off when I could for about the last five days. That seems a little much.
In the last two days as I had been reviewing Ghostbusters: ATC I was putting it on Ecto-Containment along with accompanying screen caps. Which thankfully for a multi-hour movie I didn’t have to create myself, as I normally would with animated episodes.
I reviewed Ghostbusters: Answer The Call in 4 pages. My original notes without pictures was at least page 17 halfway through. This review is similar to how I review The Real Ghostbusters episodes. I added or changed categories to fit Ghostbusters: Answer The Call.
Ghostbusters: Answer The Call was chosen favorite movie of the year! While that would be cool enough, kids voted Melissa McCarthy (Dr. Abby Yates) as their favorite movie actress. Chris Hemsworth (Kevin) was voted as their favorite movie actor.
That’s right Ghostbusters is better than both Captain America: Civil War and Star Wars: Rogue One! 😀
On June 28, 2017 Ghostbusters: Answer The Call is going to the 43rd Saturn Awards. This prestigious award in part honors science fiction, fantasy, and horror movies. This year Ghostbusters: ATC has been nominated in two categories. For Best Fantasy Film Release and Kate McKinnon for Best Supporting Actress In A Film. They’re competing against other favorites in the genre.

Now Entertainment Weekly has an [Warning: Possible Spoilers] article about Stranger Things season 2 plot. With a clue for ghostheads and Stranger Things fans about why Mike, (Finn Wolfhard) Dustin, (Gaten Matarazzo) and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) are dressed in fairly accurate Ghostbusters costumes for the time.
If you haven’t seen their Super Bowl commercial yet, its embedded below. If you’re not caught up with season 1, it may contain possible spoilers.
Netflix show Stranger Things, with season 1 taking place in 1983 in part is also a tribute to “real” ’80s entertainment nostalgia. Ghosheads wondered if Stranger Things could take a break long enough from their seriousness to mention Ghostbusters when they get to 1984. Ghostheads and uh Stranger Things fans would just have to wait until New Years.
On that important Ghostbusters like day Stranger Things Twitter account tweeted:
