Favorite movie isn’t the only category Ghostbusters: Answer The Call is apart of.
In Ghostbusters: Answer The Call Drs of particle physicists Abby Yates and Erin Gilbert wrote a book titled Ghosts From Our Past: Both Literally and Figuratively: A Study Of The Paranormal. (GBI Blog Post: December 19, 2015)
To tie into the new in-universe of Ghostbusters: Answer The Call, author Andrew Shaffer wrote the real book. Which had a hardback and more common (we think) paperback version. Its cover (probably because it had to) lets ghostheads know its a Ghostbusters: Answer The Call movie related book.
For most people that aren’t ghostheads that’s good enough. When you’re a ghosthead, good enough is well not good enough. That’s where the NYC Ghostbusters come in.
They created an original prop replica cover which can be used with the movie books or another book if one wanted to just display it among their collection.
Ghostheads can either download the regular cover or an oversized cover from the Ghosts From Our Past website.
Digital version will be released into the streams on September 27, 2016.
After GBI’s interns lost the paperwork, then semi-compiled notes we’re the last (or nearly last) to have further details.
Our associates at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment sent over information and a press release unveiling year 2 content. Which includes Ghostbusters (2016) story pack, where ghostheads can play the complete movie!
Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment unveiled exciting new content coming to the bestseller LEGO Dimensions, which includes beloved franchises such as Harry Potter, Sonic The Hedgehog, Adventure Time, Mission Impossible, E.T. and The Goonies, as well as upcoming properties Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and the new Ghostbusters team.

It might seem a little unusual to associate a national pizza chain with Ghostbusters. As in the past they would have gone together because of dialogue in Ghostbusters II. Just like in the 80s, bustin’ makes Ghostbusters hungry. Even if you aren’t a Ghostbuster, you probably at times enjoy eating pizza while watching Ghostbusters!
Today Business Wire, Papa John’s, and Ghostbusters announced a delicious partnership. Papa John’s pizza will not only be part of next month Ghostbusters (2016), they’ll have a limited product offer and Ghostbusters (2016) related pizza box. Prior to Ghostbusters (2016) release related marketing with TV spots.
Press release after the jump.
In April we wrote about building a Ghostbusters bear. (GBI Blog Post, April 28, 2016) On Ghostbusters Day Nerdist had the exclusive (this is what can happen while interns get some mandatory training) with Build-A-Bear Ghostbusters product photos and additional information. While interns are training and probably rushing to get to work, we take a closer look.
In addition to the Ghostbusters: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (GBI Blog Post, June 6, 2016) Sony Classic will be releasing Ghostbusters (2016) Original Motion Picture Score. Which was composed by Theodore Shapiro.
From the upbeat, jazzy sounds of The Devil Wears Prada to the jungle-adventure send-up Tropic Thunder to the sentiment of Marley & Me, Theodore Shapiro has consistently delivered memorable music for some of the funniest movies of the last ten years. His careful touch has made him a sought-after collaborator for Hollywood s leading comedy directors. A graduate of the Juilliard School, Shapiro has also composed the scores for such comedy classics as Old School, Dodgeball, Fun with Dick and Jane, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, State and Main and Starsky and Hutch.
Ghostbusters premiered to us regular folks (non celebs) on June 8, 1984. In recent years unofficially and officially the date has become Ghostbusters Day. Naturally its even more official during a milestone year for the Ghostbusters franchise. As ghostheads, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and their partners honor and celebrates not only Ghostbusters past, its present as well.
What can we all be part of for Ghostbusters Day this year? Sony Pictures Entertainment has a handy press release.
You’ve probably already seen James Maxwell talking about busting ghosts with science from the Ghostbusters (2016) In Movie Site. (GBI Blog Post, March 4, 2016)
If you haven’t yet or its been a while James Maxwell, (who probably should be working for us) is a scientist who is pretty knowledgable about accelerators. At the time Ghostbusters (2016) was in production he was also a fortunate ghosthead who work on the theoretical Ghostbusters (2016) equipment. Or props since they can’t actually catch and capture ghosts.
At the end of May, (yeah, we get busy) David Latchman from Creators interviewed James Maxwell about his involvement with Ghostbusters (2016) and helping in making the props realer.
