You got 7 minutes to kill? If the answer is yes (even if its no, its less then 7 minutes anyway) then don’t wait another minute! Check out GBNJ: The Series. You probably won’t regret it. Or you will, we don’t need to know about it. Continue reading
Students part of The Real to Reel Filmschool (a program of Raw Art Works) in Lynn, MA make inspired films. For us, what was originally more inspiring then three fired scientists from a once prestigious university starting their own business (which could have failed quite easily) to study and capture ghosts? Simply awe-inspiring.
These students have done even what my employers couldn’t do, act in their own movies. 😉 Filmmakers Emily Silva, Isaac Dreeben, Lizzy Embick, Mia Ventola, Sidney St. Ives, and Taryn Osborne recreated the original Ghostbusters trailer. They even use the original trailer narrator’s audio!! Continue reading
LEGO fan and ghosthead Monsieur Caron has been making a Lego version of Ghostbusters. If a creative and talented person can make a short film, imagine what a studio could do with Lego Ghostbusters. No Lego Batman this time. Lego Superman would be okay, if it made sense. 😉
From Monsieur Caron:
This is an homage to the 30th anniversary of the Ghostbusters movie made with everyones favorite toy… LEGO bricks. With the LEGO Ideas set 21108 that came out this year, I had to do a brickfilm to make the Ecto-1 shine again.
Or course, I had to put a lot of ghosts into it, so I added some famous movie “ghosts” as well as a new one. There is no LEGO “Slimer”, so I found someone else (who eat a lot) to fill in.
Ghostbusters Incorporated hasn’t had a training/orientation video since the early 1990s. “We be fast…” applies to catching ghosts, not making company videos. One of our dutiful employees, Des O Gorman from Ireland got tired of waiting for us and made his own. We like his ideas and could combine it with ours someday. Until then and if you’re a fairly new Ghostbuster, its well worth watching.
The Louisiana Ghostbusters have released their new fan film, “Louisiana Ghostbusters.”
This project began in the spring of 2012, was shot in late 2012, previewed in 2013 at Alabama Phoenix Festival, and with the blessing of the Twin Cities Ghostbusters is now ready for release. It is our introduction to a well-established fan film universe which ties in some of the major players dabbling in fan films and web series, and a labor of love from a few fans of Ghostbusters who wanted to have a little fun over a weekend or two.
