Ghostbusters 2016 Official International Trailers

This week, the first (Ghostbusters International Blog Post, March 3, 2016) Ghostbusters (2016) international (as in world, not the site) trailer was unveiled by Sony’s international branches and partners. At first sorta, as the Ukraine/Russia version wasn’t suppose to be out on the interwebs. It was taken down and if it hasn’t been released yet, it will be in due time. That didn’t stop ghostheads and other sites from taking screen caps. Why would we need more screen caps? This first international trailer featured additional footage. If you didn’t get a chance to view it and in case its also in other international trailers we won’t quite spoil it. Think Marvel’s Thor and concert venues.

While one of the largest continents on Earth re-await a Ghostbusters 2016 trailer in their languages, Sony Pictures Entertainment did officially release trailers for the UK and Australia. Continue reading

Ghostbusters 2016 Trailer Coming In March

gbs16teasertrailerlogo

Ghostheads have been waiting for a trailer for Ghostbusters (2016). On the eve of the world not ending Ghost Corps shared the first teaser trailer and announced on March 3, 2016 we’ll see the trailer.

Thirty years after the original film took the world by storm, Ghostbusters is back and fully rebooted for a new generation. Director Paul Feig combines all the paranormal fighting elements that made the original franchise so beloved with a cast of new characters, played by the funniest actors working today. Get ready to watch them save the world this summer!

The tease really is a tease. If you didn’t know it was Ghostbusters related and their was no Ghostbusters wording, including the logo, we would think this was some kind of serious police action movie.

Students part of The Real to Reel Filmschool (a program of Raw Art Works) in Lynn, MA make inspired films. For us, what was originally more inspiring then three fired scientists from a once prestigious university starting their own business (which could have failed quite easily) to study and capture ghosts? Simply awe-inspiring.

These students have done even what my employers couldn’t do, act in their own movies. 😉 Filmmakers Emily Silva, Isaac Dreeben, Lizzy Embick, Mia Ventola, Sidney St. Ives, and Taryn Osborne recreated the original Ghostbusters trailer. They even use the original trailer narrator’s audio!! Continue reading

River Of Green Slime

Artistic, stylistic, or separation for sequels sake, we may never know. For twenty five years Ghostbusters II has had the iconic shampoo looking pink slime. You may not have been aware that in promotional material before and after Ghostbusters II was and had been in theaters the famed river of slime was in fact green. I believe the real historical “mood slime” was always a pinkish color. That may still be classified and I’m sure I can’t discuss it publicly.

Observe Dan Aykroyd as Dr. Ray Stantz discovering a river of green slime:

In NOW c o m i c s The Real Ghostbusters Starring In Ghostbusters II, the river of slime was also illustrated green in Part III.
